The Choptones Ronald GP-8 Rig Library from Overloud is a rig simulator and expansion library for the TH-U Rig Player. This rig library seeks to recreate the unique Roland GP-8, a classic hybrid analog/digital guitar processor, along with a tube power amp, providing plenty of versatility thanks to its numerous speaker/cab combos, capture mics, and gain-boosting pedals.
This rig library was captured with 13 different microphones and seven different cabinet and speaker combinations, ranging from 2x12 to 4x12 Mesa/Boogie and Marshall cabinets with numerous revered Celestion speakers such as Celestion V30, A-Type, and Classic Lead 80, for a total of 69 rigs. Six gain-enhancing pedals were also used in the capture from Ibanez, MXR, Mesa, and more, for even greater aggression and bite. This library is designed to be used in any version of TH-U that sports Overloud's Rig Player (a 3D amp simulator, which makes it easy to reproduce accurate real-world rig models and tweak them to your desire). Choptones Ronald GP-8 is a great choice for huge tone, versatile playing styles, and real BOSS analog distortion, delivering some of the best qualities that the analog and digital worlds have to offer a guitarist.
