Get an authentic guitar sound without a mic with the Palmer ilm, a single-channel, passive speaker-simulation direct box that can operate either between your guitar-amp output and guitar speaker, or on the amplifier's line output. The ilm delivers a direct signal which always sounds the same, whether at home, in the studio, during rehearsals, or on stage—whatever the room size. The unit can also be used as a standard DI box with speaker simulation bypassed.
The ilm offers three analog guitar-speaker simulation settings, which represent typical guitar speaker models: normal, mellow, and bright. For input-level adjustment, the box offers a pad switch with three settings: 0, -15, -30 dB. The XLR output of the ilm is balanced and transformer-isolated, which means there is no interference or ground-loop hum when connecting it to a mixing console or audio interface.
