Developed for professional applications in the fields of studio recording, stage performance, TV/broadcast, and live events, the Palmer tauber 2x1 Passive Microphone Merge Box is used to connect two balanced XLR microphones to a single, balanced XLR microphone input on a mixer, PA, or audio interface.
Because the decoupling takes place via a balanced resistance matrix, phantom power is passed through to both inputs. This means that both dynamic and condenser microphones can be used with this versatile merge box (avoid connecting a dynamic and a condenser microphone together, as the microphone types have very different levels and sound characteristics).
Due to its passive circuitry, the tauber does not add sound coloration and does not require a power supply. The aluminum casing and sockets are extremely robust and long-lasting.
