The Trave is crafted from solid aluminum and steel, providing a reliable, tour-ready case that is resistant to EMI. A switch allows you to select between consumer line-level (-10 dBV) and professional line-level (+4 dBu) input, and the output is continuously adjustable with a convenient knob, making it easy to drive your gear the way you want. The Trave includes rubber feet for keeping it in place and a rewritable tour label for quick recall of specific settings.

How It Works: In the Studio
The Trave is ideal for studio environments, making the engineer's job much easier by providing greater flexibility for processing pre-recorded guitar signals. Simply record a clean, un-processed guitar take into any DAW or recording device, and then playback this recording, sending the output from a mixer or audio interface to the Trave for conversion into an amp-ready signal. Now you can mix and match amp heads, speaker cabinets, and pedals as well as microphone types, positions, and quantities to find the ideal sound, all without the need to make an instrument player re-record anything.
How It Works: On the Stage
The Trave can also be useful in touring rigs. If you want to record live performances or utilize computer-based DSP and amp modeling technology as part of your signal chain, the Trave can serve as an excellent intermediary, simultaneously feeding your signal into your pedals while also leaving you clear to send the output back to the interface.

Plus, you can also easily clean up wireless guitar setups, which are increasingly popular among professional players. Simply connect a wireless receiver to the Trave, use the ground lift and signal conversion, and now your signal is perfectly prepared for amplification, clear of hum and properly boosted to optimal impedance and signal levels.

A Vital Tool for Any Musician or Engineer
The Trave is also a great addition to any independent musician's toolbox, small enough to fit on a desktop in a small project studio. Re-amping can make bedroom recording a much easier and more flexible experience, and the Trave is equally compatible with any signal source, including synthesizers (hardware or software), drum machines, samplers, electric pianos, ambient soundscapes, or vocals. Send your signals to pedals, or through the preamp circuitry of an amplifier, and experiment to find new and exciting ways of processing your sounds.
Rewritable Label
The Trave includes a rewritable tour label, so you can easily identify your box or record optimal settings, such as input level, output level, and ground-lift status, so you know exactly how it should be set for your songs. The Trave also comes with rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around on a stage or studio floor.
Maintain a Perfectly Clean Signal
Ground loops are a common problem with re-amping, often introducing unwanted hum and noise that can interfere with the process. That's why Palmer includes a special transformer in the Trave that properly adjusts the signal level from balanced to unbalanced, without introducing noise, and a dedicated ground-lift switch that eliminates any residual grounding issues, making the Trave useful not only for studio use, but also live performances, events, and TV or broadcast applications.
