JUST A Cable? No
This HDMI Connector Is 6' Long With Male Ends And White In Color (matches My Decor). It Facilitates Streaming From My Laptop To My 4k UHD 55" Tv With Dolby Theater Surround Sound. For Several Years This Hardwire Connection Functioned, Until It Didn't. The Cable Remains Affixed To The Tv And The Free End Is Inserted Into The HDMI Port On The Laptop When I Am Watching Videos Or Listening To Songs From My Music Library. The Original Cable Was The Least Expensive. On This Occasion The Video Seemed Fine But The Audio Sounded Like A Reverb System Had Been Activated. I Switched To The Music Library To Verify The Problem Still Remained. A New More Capable Cable Was In Order. The Old Cable Never Seated Well In The Laptop HDMI Port And I Was Always Working To Get The Best Fit, Even Then It Sagged On The Wire End (gravity Is An Unrelenting Force). This Comprehensive MicroFlex Pro AV/IT Integrator Has A Snugger Fit In The HDMI Port. I Didn't Know If The Laptop Port Had Been "degraded" Over The Years So I Decided To Order A Lightning To HDMI "dongle" As Well. See My Other Plugable Review. I Don't Know The Longevity On The New One, But It Seems More Flexible Where Desired. On The Downside It Is The Most Expensive. However, Connecting Two Devices Totaling North Of $5k Requires The Best.
It's an HDMI cable
I don't game so others may be better qualified to speak to transfer rates but I have 4 of these connecting my monitors to my PC dock and they fit nice and snug and work great.
