The MK 2H capsule's mild, high-frequency-response elevation above 6 kHz (at 0°) compensates for high-frequency losses caused by a slightly increased, diffuse field amount at medium recording distances. The matte gray Schoeps CMC 1 L is a miniature Colette Series microphone amplifier offering uncompromising high fidelity in a lightweight and ultracompact form factor for studio recording, broadcast, and live stage applications. Presented as an alternative to the renowned Schoeps CMC 6 amplifier, the CMC 1 L is compatible with all existing MK mic capsules and Colette active accessories (all available separately).
It features a balanced mini LEMO output, compliance with 12V or 48V phantom power, and low current consumption. Its Schoeps RFI Shield provides high immunity from RF interference for a clean, low-noise signal. The CMC 1 L supports the high maximum SPLs tolerated by the various MK mic capsules (available separately). A stand adapter and a 16.4' mini LEMO to XLR 3-pin male adapter cable are supplied with the CMC 1 L.
The matte gray MK 2H Microphone Capsule from Schoeps comes as a matched pair, and can be used indoors at medium recording distances (i.e. where direct sound energy is similar in amount to reflected sound energy); its overall response will be linear. Its extended frequency response and low noise make it appropriate for demanding applications.
The sound inlet of this capsule is narrower than that of our other pressure transducers, causing a slight, purely acoustic response elevation above 6 kHz. This reduces the high frequency loss for diffuse sound, thus helping to preserve natural sound quality.
This capsule is suitable for natural-sounding pickup of instruments and orchestras in spaces with well balanced reverberance.
This gray Solid Foam Teardrop Popscreen from Schoeps is an acoustic foam close-speech popscreen intended for use with Schoeps Colette Series microphones, but compatible with other microphone capsules as well. It provides sufficient protection at normal speaking distances for cardioids and other directional capsules, especially when speech capsules are used. With omnidirectional capsules, it may even be used outdoors in light wind. This popscreen has minimal effect on sound quality.
