With a 4K TV in Zone1 and a 1080p TV in Zone2, ...

With a 4K TV in Zone1 and a 1080p TV in Zone2, will each TV receive max resolution? Or will the TV in Zone1 only receive 1080p?
Asked by: Chip
The Sony STR-AN1000 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver (B&H # SOSTRAN1000) will output 4K video through all HDMI outputs. A 1080p TV will technically be receiving 4K input, but it will still display at Full HD 1080p. This discrepancy should not affect the display resolution of a 4K TV.

Compare chart shows no info as to Pass-Thru capabilities. Does it have 8K Pass thru?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Sony STR-AN1000 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver (BH # SOSTRAN1000) has no 8K pass through. NOTE: Be sure to connect the receiver to an HDMI input jack of a TV or video device that is supporting 4K or 8K. You have to connect an HDMI cable to an HDMI jack that supports HDCP 2.2 or HDCP 2.3 when you use a playback device for 4K or 8K resolution video content, etc. 4K or 8K content may not be displayed at the same resolution as the source: • Depending on the TV or the video device, 4K or 8K content may not be displayed. Check the video capability and settings of your TV and video device. • Be sure to use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet, which supports bandwidths up to 18 Gbps. For video signals that require a high bandwidth such as 4K/120p, 8K, etc., be sure to use an Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable that supports bandwidths up to 48 Gbps.

How much audio latency, in milliseconds, is there ...

How much audio latency, in milliseconds, is there on this receiver? I assume 2CH audio in 'direct mode' is the best case. <20ms?
Asked by: Michael
The Sony STR-AN1000 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver does have audio latency but Sony has not posted the milliseconds in audio latency from this model. To remedy the latency, the STR-AN1000 has an A/V Sync feature, that allows you to reduce the time gap between the audio and video. There is also a Game Mode that brings the latency below 30 milliseconds.

I'm enjoying this receiver as 7.1 in Living Room. Can I add 2 bluetooth speakers in bedroom 25' feet away, concrete walls?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is unlikely that you will be able to use two Bluetooth speakers with the Sony STR-AN1000 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver at 25' away through concrete walls. Concrete blocks Bluetooth connections more effectively than other materials, so you would be best off placing your speakers within a direct line of sight of this receiver.
