ELAC DCB41 Overview

Redefine your idea of home Hi-Fi with the orange ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 Two-Way Active Bookshelf Speakers. These self-amplified speakers provide everything you need for quality audio while fitting in a fairly small footprint of less than one cubic foot for both speakers combined. The DCB41 speakers offer a wide variety of inputs, including HDMI ARC, phono/line RCA, optical, USB, and Bluetooth. Two 50-watt Class-D amplifiers, acoustically matched to ELAC's ConneX drivers, deliver efficient and high-quality sound.

Flexible Inputs
Connect to just about anything with a wide number of input options, including HDMI ARC, USB audio (PC/Mac), Bluetooth (aptX), digital optical, and analog phono/line.
Note:
While safe to place near modern non-CRT TVs, these speakers are not magnetically shielded and may cause color issues with a CRT-based TV.
Two Built-In High-Quality Amplifiers
Each Debut ConneX speaker features a 50-watt Class-D amplifier built directly into the speaker. These amplifiers have been acoustically matched to the ConneX drivers and are designed to run cool and efficiently.
Enhanced Bass Response
The Debut ConneX includes ELAC's proprietary XBass Enhancer, providing better overall bass extension and output, which can be switched on and off. For better low-frequency extension and to minimize ventilation noise, the bass reflex port on the DCB41 is directed to the rear in an S configuration.
Convenient Control
Control the audio from anywhere in the room with the included IR remote control. Also, when using HDMI ARC to supply audio for your TV viewing, your TV's remote control will control the power, mute, and volume of the Debut Connex speakers.
High-Res 96 kHz / 24-Bit USB Audio
Connect a USB cable from your Windows or Mac computer to the USB-B input on the DCB41, and enjoy high-resolution audio playback up to 96 kHz / 24-bit. Also, the speakers' volume can be controlled by the computer's volume control.
Bluetooth with aptX
Play back your favorite music or podcast from your phone, tablet, or computer using Bluetooth. To ensure the best possible quality the DCB41 speakers feature aptX technology, delivering true CD quality audio from compatible devices.
Built-In Phono Preamp
The switchable, built-in phono preamp allows you to connect just about any turntable directly to the speakers using standard RCA cables. A ground screw is also included. Alternatively, you can switch off the phono preamp to use line-level sources such as a CD player.
Subwoofer Output
You have the option to enhance the system's bass by connecting to any wired self-powered subwoofer.
L/R Toggle Switch
This feature allows you to toggle the passive speaker to be left or right, simplifying the setup and placement.

The ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 Two-Way Active Bookshelf Speakers (Black Ash, Pair), BH # ELDCB41BK, may be placed on their sides, but will sound best with wider high-end dispersion when oriented vertically.
