The Indie 5 monitor supports up to UHD 4K30 HDMI input/output as well as up to 1080p60 via the SDI input/output. The RED control software loads onto the monitor and allows you to control RED camera functions via the RCP2 protocol, such as run/stop, color and exposure controls, status, color temperature, video format, playback, shutter, menu control, and more, all via the Indie 5 touchscreen. Since SmallHD monitors can now display lens focus information with the latest OS3 upgrade, this Micro-USB to 5-Pin LEMO Adapter helps attach a Teradek RT lens controller to your monitor to map and display that information along with your camera's image.
The adapter features a micro-USB male connector that plugs directly into your monitor, and the female 5-pin LEMO adapter on the other end connects a separately available cable from a Teradek CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 lens controller. The port can also power the controller using 5V pass-through power from the micro-USB port. Control the RCP2 functions on your RED DSMC3, V-RAPTOR, DSMC2, or KOMODO camera when using a breakout box such as a Wooden Camera B-Box with this Monitor/Camera Control Cable from SmallHD. This purpose-built cable allows your RED camera to be controlled via a breakout box using a SmallHD monitor such as the FOCUS Pro when it has the RED control software installed. It can be used with other RED-compatible SmallHD monitors with a micro-USB control port when using an optional micro-USB to 5-pin LEMO-type adapter.
The 5-pin connector plugs directly into the SmallHD monitor or adapter and the push-pull locking 4-pin LEMO-type connector plugs into the 4-pin control port on the breakout box. The cable measures 36" long.
