The Canon imageFORMULA R30 is a dual-side color scanner with an automatic document feeder (ADF). It efficiently scans both sides of a page simultaneously, delivering 25 dual-side pages per minute, or 50 single-side pages. The ADF supports up to 40 sheets of 8.5 x 14" legal size paper, or 60 sheets of 8.5 x 11" letter size paper. The first three sheets scan in approximately 7 seconds and the first 5 sheets in 12 seconds.

Can this scan postcards, business cards and most importantly paper that kids have made a flat collage on?
The Canon imageFORMULA R30 Office Document Scanner, B&H # CAIFR30, can scan documents that are in the range of 2 x 2.1" to 8.5 x 14" with a maximum paper weight of 7 to 56 lb. As long as what you need to scan does not exceed those specifications, you will be able to scan it. For scanning a collage, I would not recommend using a scanner with a feeder because it could potentially damage it, depending on how well the cutouts were glued to the paper. A flatbed scanner like the Canon CanoScan LiDE 300 Slim Color Image Scanner, B&H # CAL300, would work best for scanning more sensitive photos or paper since it doesn't push the paper through rollers.

Batch separation? I have a lot of 3-4 pg docs. If I put several into the ADF will it create separate files? ?Naming?
One can scan multiple pages to a single document with the Canon imageFORMULA R30 Office Document Scanner. For several multi-page documents one would need to manually set what is part of what document.
