Does the objective accept a threaded filter (clear/polarized) for protection?
Asked by: Ishwar
Yes and no. As they come, these binoculars use non-standard 48mm filters. However, If you buy two 48mm to 49mm step up filter converters, you can now use the very common 49mm camera lens filters. This is exactly what I did. I used two of the B&H part number BH #SESUR4849 "Sensei 48-49mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring." I then used two Hoya 49mm UV filters as protection filters. Then I added two inexpensive 49mm snap on lens covers to protect the filters. I now have complete protection for the binoculars and the filters. -Steve
