I've tried to use this filter twice. Each time, the telescope gives me an error stating the sun is too high for the use of the filter. The solar filter easily attaches to the telescope and I've used it at dusk, but I still get the same error message. I think I've blown money on an useless filter, but I'll continue to investigate ways to work around this issue.
