I used this one time and it stopped working. We changed batteries multiple times and ultimately even checked the film even though it ruined it. Literally took just one picture and stopped working. Very disappointed as it was a birthday gift. Would never recommend instax.
Using a Fujifilm Instax offers a wholly unique experience. I have a Polaroid 600, a somewhat bulky camera with ultrasonic focusing and other valuable features, but it demands a certain level of skill to achieve quality images. I recently gifted the Instax to my daughter for her fourteenth birthday. While she already takes impressive photos with her iPhone 15 or Canon Elph (remarkably, these older Elph models are now back in vogue), instant photography brings an entirely different kind of satisfaction—immediate and tangible. What has changed most notably is her approach to shooting: with her iPhone or Elph, she captures countless images. But with the Fujifilm, each shot is carefully considered, as the cost of film quickly drains her pocket money.
