amaran PT4C Overview

This PT4c 2-Light Production Kit from amaran combines a pair of versatile 4' LED pixel tubes, then adds a pair of USB-C to DMX adapters for expanded wireless control. Each light comes with a floor stand, and there's a kit case for easy transport and storage.

Built-In Lighting Effects
Nine system effects: Fireworks, fire, paparazzi, faulty bulb, TV, pulsing, cop car, lightning, and party lights

Seven pixel effects: Color fade, color cycle, 1-pixel chase, 2-pixel chase, 3-pixel chase, rainbow, and pixel fire
DMX Functionality
DMX control is available via the included USB-C to DMX adapters. DMX function adds 14 built-in DMX profiles and DMX loss behaviors.
Create Multiple Shapes
The shape combinations that can be created using the PT4c are endless, with the ability to use separately available splicing connectors to arrange the tubes in multiple 3D shapes. The PT4c can be combined with other PT-Series LED tubes.

I'v Been Waiting For A light Like You To Come INto My Life

These things are great. I was able to get 3 hours and 15 mins of battery life before the light went dark. I hd it set on 100$ brightness,I'm using the onboard control for each light. I did not try and remote operation. Al though I have seen other use remote successfully. Intuitive to set up. Super great carrying case and portable, The setup and teardown will be much faster than my single pole and 3 par can T setup. Constantly adjusting to get the right angle. The light tubes are plug and play. No dang power cords ! Just position and go. Each light has a 3/8 female thread on it's base. I might try to get these up off the floor a little with a small tripod stand with a 3/8 male stud. However I will need to sand bag that stand as it will be tipped easily if windy or bumped into by intoxicated dancers. Thinking about getting another one so I can back light and light the stage.

Bought two of these because they were out of the 2-light sets and I'm pleased with their performance after a couple days of shooting. They charge fairly quickly and run on battery for around 4hrs. I used them at 50-100% power throughout that time. I have several Aputure and Amaran lights so being able to control these in the Sidus Link app with the others is super helpful. Great multi-tool to have for all kinds of shoots: using them as practical fixtures in frame in place of fluorescent tubes or just off camera for interviews (horizontal gives a nice soft wrap on the subject's face, vertical creates an edge light).

The Amaran T4C RGB LED Tube Light (4') has more output, which means it is brighter than the Amaran PT4C RGB LED Pixel Tube Light (4'). The T4C also has built-in DMX, which the PT4C does not.

Regarding the amaran PT4c RGB LED Pixel Tube Light (4'), yes, the free Sidus Link app makes it possible to utilize tools unique to the Aputure and amaran ecosystems, such as Source Match, Color Picker, and Custom FX. This feature only works off a Bluetooth signal.
