This tripod with a gimbal-type head proved very useful when taking photographs with my Sony FE 400-800mm, which is a large and bulky lens. It was very ideal for my situation and I'm glad I made this purchase.

This Adapter Plate Works As Expected. It’s Simple And Doesn’t Do Much, Which Is Fine. What Bothers Me Is That The Mammoth Tripod Didn’t Include A Flat Base Along With The Cup. Charging Extra For Such A Basic Piece Feels Like Penny Pinching, Especially At The Price Point Of The Mammoth — And Plenty Of Other Tripods Include Both, So It’s Not Unreasonable To Expect That Here. Another Miss: There’s No Bubble Level On This Plate, And The Cup Doesn’t Have One Either. It’s A Tiny, Inexpensive Detail That Makes A Big Difference In Day-to-day Use. Benro Gear Is Generally High Quality, And This Plate Works, But The Missing Details And Extra Charges Are Disappointing.
