It's High Quality And Seemingly Quite Durable. I Trust It's Locking And Release Mechanism To Not Drop My Full Frame Portrait And Short-tele Camera Setups As It's Proven Capable For Hours Of Constant Shooting And Holding A Camera Slung Across My Side. I Attach Peak Design Anchors To The Buckle To Connect It To My Peak Design Straps. I Put The Plate On The Cameras And It Works Great In A Sling Setup As You Can Just Clip The Camera On/off This Buckle (which Is Slung Around Me, Joining The Two Strap Ends Together). This Lets Me Keep My Strap On Around Me All The Time. I Just Click The Camera Out Of The Buckle When I Need Angles That See The Strap Get In The Way. I Place It Back When I Need More Security And Or Just Want The Camera To My Side. This Also Makes It Easy To Swap The Same Buckle Across Multiple Peak Design Straps (I Have A Few For Different Gear Weights, And Different Colors/etc.). Comparatively, I Used The Peak Design Capture Clip To Do Something Similar Before, But This Way Is Lighter And Smaller, And Slightly Easier To Handle As The Peak Design Capture Clip Is Meant For Being On Bags/belts. Note: Both The Falcam Plate That Comes With This Buckle And The Peak Design Plates Work Well, But The Fit Is A Bit More Snug (and That's Good) With The Falcam Plate.
