I only give it 4 stars because the screw is not a thumb screw. I switch it to a thumb screw I had around and now it is working toolless.

Well made and works great as a tripod plate with cold shoe, I also connect my Black Rapid strap to the 1/4 20 and am able to connect to tripod without removing the strap.
