Moman Power 99 Pro Mini V-Mount Overview

Packing maximal power in a portable, aircraft-safe form factor, the 99Wh Power 99 Pro Mini V-Mount Lithium-Ion Battery with OLED Screen from Moman can charge a 100W light for up to 1.5 hours through its V-mount plate or two D-Tap interfaces. The battery's 200W, 15A maximum output is enough to power monitors, cameras, lights, and other equipment. The USB-C and D-Tap ports can also be used to charge the battery, and the USB-C port also supports 65W fast charging. The USB-A port charges small portable electronic devices at a maximum of 5V, 2.1A.

A built-in battery management system regulates discharge and current while preventing overcharging and overheating. The battery has an LED indicator panel for monitoring the remaining charge.

these battery slowly lost functionality over six months until they were completely dead. Poor quality for something that costs $180

Great on paper, not great in reality

This has a lot of potential with 2 dtaps, a usb-c and usb-A ports. However it has quite of bit of issues in real world scenarios. The build quality, size and weight is nice. The usb-c output is inconsistent. When powering my r5c, usb-c output will work for a few hours, then suddenly disconnect, so I would have to unplug and cable and replug. I have purchased 2, and one of them bricked not even after a full use cycle, which BH was kind enough to replace but I should’ve asked for a refund. When I powered my camera on with the bricked battery, it froze my r5c. The r5c wouldn’t respond to any buttons and even switching to photo mode doesn’t work as it was stuck on video mode. The worst is that my camera couldn’t even power off, I had to physically pull the canon battery out to have the camera to shut down. That was a major scare for sure. It wouldn’t take charge when I tried to charge with usb-c as well. The second issue is when charging, the battery indicator will keep showing it’s battery draining. There was once I started charging at 72%, and it went all the way down to 60% in a matter of few minutes before going back up. Why would the charge percentage go down that fast when it’s plugged in? The third issue is the power cuts off at about 30%. The usb-c cannot power the r5c specifically when it reaches around 30%, so this means I have to swap the battery early while having a lot of juice left. I wished I invested in other brands. Some batteries are cheaper for a reason.

Yes, the Moman Power 99 Pro's built in OLED screen is viewable at night, as well as bright sunlit days.
