Can these units be connected at the same time to the monitor?
Yes. The Ninja has both HDMI in and out. The Ninja's HDMI out continues to function even if you've attached it to the Cast switcher, which also has its own HDMI out and four HDMI inputs. The Connect module adds SDI, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth; with it you can remote-control the Ninja with the Atomos Remote app (free).

I just bought this and is there any workaround to connect both devices simultaneously? It defeats the purpose of having themboth
Unfortunately, the Atomos Atomos AtomX Ninja V CONNECT would need to be removed from the Ninja V to work with the Atomos AtomX Ninja V/V+ CAST.
