The OMEN's 17.3" anti-glare IPS display is driven by dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics with 16GB of GDDR6 video memory and displays QHD 2560 x 1440 video with 300 nits of brightness, 100% sRGB gamut coverage, and a refresh rate of 165 Hz for smooth motion. This display is nearly borderless, providing more screen area by minimizing the amount of bezel.

For storage of your files, there is a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you'd like to connect external storage or devices such as optical drives, media card readers, printers, or scanners, the OMEN 17-ck1003nr has one 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 port that supports Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, and HP Sleep and Charge. There are also three 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which supports Sleep and Charge, plus one HDMI 2.1 and one mini DisplayPort for external displays. Connect to the internet via Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and pair compatible wireless peripherals with Bluetooth 5.2 technology to free up USB ports for more important devices. Other integrated features include an SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, a user-facing 720p webcam, dual speakers, dual-array mics, and a 4-zone RGB keyboard with 26-key rollover anti-ghosting key technology.

HP's 17.3" OMEN 17-ck1003nr Gaming Laptop includes a 330W power adapter. It can also be powered using the integrated 6-cell / 83Wh lithium-ion polymer battery that lasts for up to 7.75 hours before recharging is required, and can be recharged up to 50% in 30 minutes when the system is powered off or in standby mode. The installed operating system is Windows 11 Home (64-bit).

I purchased this to mainly use lightroom for photography. I've had several issues with the computer freezing. I've had to shut down the computer and restart. Also, I have the keyboard set up to be lit. Quite often, I find the keyboard is not lit and when I try to use the function keys to turn it on, they don't work. I have to restart the computer and then it works again. Frustrating. I do like the speed at which I can process my photos through lightroom and the large monitor is very helpful.

Bought the 12900H/3080ti combo on sale for $1600. Easily outperformed my Alienware m17 r5 Ryzen Edition. Here a few review highlights: The good: Snappy performance with the i9 CPU. Gaming is excellent for a top tier GPU from last year, I've ran a couple of benchmarks and *chefs kiss*. Display is great at 1440p with 165 Hz, even in bright areas the screen still has some pop. Laptop speakers are typically disappointing, but I find the Bang & Olufsen audio has a bit more quality bass and clarity than most. The Omen Gaming Hub has much to offer with tons of performance & aesthetic customization options. The bad: Touchpad feels a bit clunky, the click not as precise. Keyboard layout is little weird with the macro keys to the far left (I'm often mistaking the ESC & CTRL keys). Power Button is also in an awkward place. Chassis design seems a bit too boxy (for my taste), feels like it was designed in the last decade. Fan noise is LOUD in performance mode (BUT highly efficient in keeping core temps down). My gripes are more aesthetic and design than functionality, so I'm willing to bear with them and adjust. Otherwise, an absolute steal for the price that I purchased it at.

Overall, the computer was a good buy for the price. There are a few things I would like to have different for it to be 5 stars. The Good: Powerful machine! Has no problem running Unreal Engine, Maya, Premier Pro, and other graphic heavy programs I use. It's quiet, but the fans can seem like they are fluctuating and unsteady at lower speeds. The Bad: All of the ports are on the side, none on the back. I'd personally prefer to have some on the back to keep cables out of the way when connecting to external monitors. Not a big one, but it does not have Windows Hello. I just figured pretty much every laptop had that now.

Here are the no BS numbers DCS World VR - high/medium settings - 80FPS Assetto Corsa VR - max settings - 80-90FPS Halo Infinite - Ultra Settings - 250+FPS BF2042 - Ultra Settings - 150+FPS WIFI is astounding This computer is a beast. A serious desktop replacement! No regrets here!!!

I highly recommend this fantastic laptop for photo and video editing (including 6K videos and Topaz Video) thanks to the i9 and the 12GB GPU. You can add another PCIe drive to the computer (to have more GB and more video editing speed) and increase the RAM up to 64 BG (recommended for big panoramas in Photoshop) The sound quality of this device is really good

Good, but with some big compromises

This thing is a beast. My configuration is i9-12900H (6P+8E cores), RTX 3080 Ti (roughly comparable to a desktop 3070 but with twice the VRAM), 32GB ram, and 1TB drive. Pros: * Fast at almost everything * 16GB VRAM is great if you need it * Very nice screen * USB-C charging (but only 90W, according to the manual) * Upgradeable RAM (2 slots) * 2 NVME slots * Metal/metal-plated frame (but plastic bottom?) * Thunderbolt 4 * The fans aren't ear-shatteringly loud at max RPM, but they are loud. Cons: * Gigantic heavy charging brick, with a very heavy cable terminated by a tiny barrel connector. It feels like it's going to tear itself apart. * CPU fan always runs, and it's far from silent. You can set a fan curve, but you can't set it to zero. * Preinstalled bloatware (I ended up doing a clean windows 11 install) * Windows 11 Home instead of Pro (for a $2900 MSRP they're not even giving you Pro?) * No windows 10 support (audio, trackpad, wifi drivers do not work on windows 10) * The keyboard is odd, but the arrow keys are full-size. The power button is on the keyboard, just above the backspace key (why?!), and the touchpad is not centered to the spacebar. The RGB can only be configured by zones, not individual keys, and only with HP's bloatware. The cracks under the keys let a ton of light through, so at a comfortable distance, you will be blinded by the RGB lights. * Removing the bottom panel requires a pry tool Overall it's okay, but I really wish I went with something else. I saw 3080 Ti 16GB for $1500 and thought it was a good deal.

The 1st answer is incorrect. This model has 2 SODIMM slots, so both modules can be removed & replaced with bigger capacity ones. I am sure the BIOS can recognize 32GB modules, the largest currently available, so you can have a maximum memory capacity of 64GB (2 x 32GB). The stock modules used for this specific model are 2 x 16GB modules giving a total of 32GB as shown in the specification.
