This is a reliable external drive I used for backing up photos when upgrading my NAS. It's very fast and has a small form factor.

Slick cheap plastic slow power hungry HDD with a 6inch cable. And did I say Over Priced ? This thing slides all over the place, It's just a matter of time that it slides off the desk or it is dropped. The short azz cable doesn't help either. Other cables I have tried have power issues yet work fine on other full size drives. I don't expect it to last. Only time will tell.

The main difference between the Toshiba 2TB Canvio Advance USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive and the Toshiba 2TB Canvio Ready USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive would be the manufacturer's warranty (2 years in the case of Canvio Advance and 1 year in the case of Canvio Ready).
