It just works - what more does one need?
I back up my computer with a rotating set of drives, so each week I use the next in order. I have been using SSDs (Crucial and Sandisk) until the Sandisk 4TB drive just died (and, as usual with SSDs, it just would not mount - there is nothing to do after that).Of course, now that, thanks to the ridiculous nonsense of data center demands causing the costs of solid state devices to double or more in the past few months, rather than spending $450 for another SSD (which will never be a SAndisk going forward, FWIW) I opted to get the less costly HDD. I have had good experiences with Toshiba drives (already have the white and green models) and like them, this just works when you plug it in.
