Came within 2 days of ordering, my tech person was able to easily convert its PC settings to Mac-speak, and it was backing up my hard drive within minutes. This was only about 2 weeks ago, so I don't have long term performance information, but so far, perfect, and I am a satisfied customer. (Of course, if the device had automatically switched to Mac settings, without aid from tech support, I wouldn't have had to pester my tech guy, but he's used to my less than comprehensive knowledge about this kind of thing, and a very nice person, so no harm done.)

Needed a new backup drive. This one is tiny, silent, and only needs a USB connection--a big step up from the 20 year old IDE external drive it replaced. Would recommend.

The Toshiba 2TB Canvio Ready USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive (B&H # TOHDTP320XK3) is formatted for Windows. If you want to use the drive for macOS, you will have to format the drive to a compatible format.

The Toshiba 2TB Canvio Ready USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive will need to be reformatted before using with MacOS. For use with modern MacBooks, you will also need a USB-A to USB-C adapter such as B&H # PEUSB323CA06.
