I can't believe that this doesn't come with an AC power cable. That was a surprise for numerous reasons. First, typically there is a notation when an item doesn't include a necessary component to function. Second, we purchased this same unit a few years ago, and it came with a power cable! This was not a wise move by Sony, and B&H should notate that it comes with no power cable. Plus, nowhere on the Recommended Accessories page does it include a power cable. Nor apparently does B&H sell a Sony AC power cable. So I will be processing a return, and making do with the chargers I already have. This was just going to be a backup.
This charger will do just fine, but wonder why they dropped the charger/power supply that had the charging progress lights. Regardless, it serves its purpose.
