Can I connect guitar and other microphone inputs to the VR6D and use as a mixer in a live situation
The Roland VR-6HD Direct Streaming AV Mixer does not have hi-Z instrument inputs, so any guitars would have to be connected with a DI box. Apart from that, the audio section can function without video activity, but the VR-6HD lacks many of the features you would want on a strictly audio mixer, so it wouldn't be recommended for that purpose.

How easy is it to run your live PA with this mixer?
Although not necessarily designed for that purpose, the Roland VR-6HD Direct Streaming AV Mixer could easily be used to send connected audio to a live PA via its two main XLR outputs, in much the same way as any other mixer. Due to its specialized features tailored toward streaming, it would be more complex to operate in a live sound context than your average digital mixer, but certainly it could be done.
