Built upon award-winning UAFX dual-engine processing and three legendary limiters plus an iconic tube preamp, the Max Preamp and Dual Compressor Pedal from Universal Audio provides the classic compression colors of the Teletronix LA-2A opto-compressor, the UA 1176 FET compressor, and the Dyna Comp as well as the all the grit and character of UA's classic 610 tube microphone preamp. With the powerful dual-FX engine found on all UAFX pedals, you can stack and mix compressors for a wider array of tones and textures, and each stack gets its own dedicated footswitch.
Six knobs give you control over attack, ratio (a pedal exclusive parameter), release, preamp gain, compression level, and output volume, and three switches let you select between compressor models for each stack and the stack you are editing. Stereo 1/4" I/O permits either classic mono or immersive stereo processing, including support for the classic 4-cable method. And with the UAFX Control app, you can tweak EQ settings, unlock serial or parallel operation, and add a sidechain bass filter, all over wireless Bluetooth.
