Practical Dental Photography Guide
For best results taking dental photographs, your camera should be set to manual exposure mode with a shutter speed of 1/200s at ISO 100. Godox also recommends the use of the optional dental bracket to easily move the light closer to the subject. The dental version of the MF12 flash will help you to capture images at different stages of the dental treatment to easily compare the patient's progress.
2.4 GHz Wireless Control
2.4 GHz wireless technology enables long-distance transmission, adding more flexibility to your shooting. Additionally, 5 groups with 32 channels each help to prevent interference and disturbance when several wireless systems are working close to each other.
Compact Design
The MF12 Dental Macro Flash is optimized for close-up dental photography due to its compact design and unique ability to be mounted directly to a lens via an optional adapter or placed around the subject with the included flash stand or optional bracket. Also, its size and wireless capabilities make it a good option for general photography as well.
Rechargeable High-Performance Battery
The powerful built-in lithium battery supports approximately 500 full-power flashes with a 0.01 to 1.7 second recycling time. The battery is also easily rechargeable through an included USB-C cable.

Excellent product

So much fun! So many creative options!

I liked this kit so much that I bought a second one when it went on sale. I have used them for photographing insects, and food. Though I often only use one or two flashes in TTL mode, the option of using more with with the included color gels offers you the creativity you would normally only find in a large, complicated studio setup. I have only scratched the surface creatively with them. Please note... though powerful, these are not speedlights, they work best for macro work. Also, be aware of the position relative to your controller - I noticed that, when the end of my controller is inline with the flash unit, they can't talk to each other. Just tilt the unit a few degrees and it will work again. An old radio guy myself, I suspect that this is because the reciever and transmitters are in each others null-zone.

Does the dental kit come with sony trigger only? Any options for Nikon?
Asked by: Brian
There may be a Nikon-only option available in the future. If so, we'll add it to the website. Having said that, the Godox MF12 Dental Macro Flash (2-Light Kit) (B&H# GOMF12DK1) comes with a plethora of items. Among them is only one product that is specific to Sony Multi Interface Shoe-equipped cameras: The Godox XPro II TTL Wireless Dental Flash Trigger for Sony Cameras (B&H# GOXPROIISD). However, even that product may be used as a manual flash trigger with most Nikon, Canon, and other cameras with standard hot shoes. However, if a Nikon iTTL-enabled option is desired then one may add this Nikon-specific transmitter and use it instead of the option for Sony: Godox XPro II TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon Cameras (B&H # GOXPROIIN) https://bhpho.to/3zAIRo5 Alternatively, you could get that product (the XPro II for Nikon) and also the regular flash kit without the Sony-designated addition. . . Godox MF12 Macro Flash 2-Light Kit (B&H# GOMF12K2) https://bhpho.to/3B5NzJJ . . . and then add this bracket, if desired: Godox MF-DB Bracket for MF12 Flash (B&H# GOMFDB) https://bhpho.to/3QWF3pk Finally, two other versions of the kit will be available soon, and although we have yet to receive full details about their contents (as of November 2023), more information should be available soon about them: Godox MF12 Dental Flash DK2 Kit (B&H# GOMF12DK2) https://bhpho.to/47DjIII Godox MF12 Dental Flash DK3 Kit (B&H# GOMF12DK3) https://bhpho.to/3Gh3dWw

I have an OM System 5 and an X1T-O trigger. Will it work both mounted on the camera and externally? Thank you!
Asked by: Gabriel
In manual, the MF12s can be triggered optically, as I've done with my F-LM3 (the little Oly. kit flash that rotates & tilts) but I much prefer my X2T trigger. They do not need to be mounted on the ring as "Staff" implied on 3/9/2023

The Godox MF12 Macro Flash 2-Light Kit does include the 62mm mounting ring to attach the heads to the FUJIFILM XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro Lens. You will need to add the Godox XProF TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Fujifilm Cameras. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3ziDgki

A transmitter such as this one for Canon would be needed: https://bhpho.to/3s5aqRL but you should choose a Nikon transmitter if you are shooting with a Nikon camera or a different version depending on the brand or your camera.
