Stop working at 2nd use. B&H did not replace it or gave the money back. Lost my money.

Strong with flaws.

Purchased two of these to use as on-Camera lighting in weddings. They are lightweight and fit great on my c70s cage. My first issue is the description lists these lights as having a usb type C connection, I don't see that anywhere, not on the light and not on the DC box. I would have appreciated the description being correct because i planned to use my mobile battery bank as a back up. I have Watson NP-F970 & Sony NP-F970's many of them... I was cautious about only one battery input slot on these lights because the previous lower powered Generay Lights i was using before had two slots and i still wasn't happy with the power output or light consistency. I put the Sony 970 in the Godox LDP18BI light's battery slot, turn it on and raise the dimmer up to 100%, the light shuts off in 1 minute and battery indicator starts flashing. Turn the light on and off and the battery is back to 100% battery and light is on(dimmer starts at 0%), i turn the dimmer to 80% light stays on for under 5 minutes and does the same thing, shuts off and flashes battery. The third time i turn the dimmer on to 70% and leave the light on the table to see how long it lasts, this time it stays on for over an hour. Obviously the output on the 970's isn't enough to sustain the light functioning at over ~75% power. I tried both brands of L series NPF970's same thing, tried the second Godox LDP18BI to see if the first one I got was defective, same result. The power output at 100% is great, I wish they listed the proper power specs of the batteries needed to run these lights at 100%. I see there are Watson NPF975 and Sony NPF976 I wonder if those could power this and for how long. Does this make my stockpile of batteries obsolete and thats IF the 975's & 976's work properly on this light? If the type C connection was there i wonder if all of my power input issues would be irrelevant. DC power right now is the only way i can have these lights function at 100%. I have stronger lights for in studio and talking head corporate stuff...
