For an amazing price, you get a super light carbon fiber tripod with a decent video head. Super helpful to have the small folding size and the 2lbs makes hiking with it easy. The magnetic allen wrench and built in phone mount are nice little touches. Two small gripes that keep it from 5 stars: the legs are sort of difficult to put into sections since they are twist release. They want to expand all the way and it takes time to have a lower setting. The head can be releveled though, so that helps with any legs being not exact. They also flex a decent amount at full extend, but to be expected for such lightweight and thin material. The other part is the mounting plate. Not only is it a lot smaller than expected, but the latch for it doesn't even cover the whole side of the plate which really makes no sense. I wouldn't suggest using it if you have a really big rig or lots of attachments. If it is just your camera, it works very well, but just really make sure that it is twisted all the way down and secure. My main rig used was my Nikon Z6 with the 180-600mm lens. It handled it pretty well and can be used for decent videography after some practice. Again, a bigger plate would really help with weight distribution without losing the overall tripod weight bonus. Also, please have the latch cover the whole plate or use a snap lock system.

If the fotopro videohead has max payload of 3 kg, how can it hold 5 kg when paired with the X-Aircross 3?
Asked by: Manuel
You’re right. The max load for the head (MH-2L) is 3KG but the specs for the tripod indicate 5kg for the video tripod with this head.
