There is a MIDI input that allows the unit to respond to program change messages, allowing for automated patch recall. The Matrix Mixer works with semimodular synthesizers, as well as through adapter cards with the EMS Synthi and Buchla Music Easel. The unit is particularly useful in performances that combine Eurorack and other performance instruments, such as drums, guitars, wind instruments, etc. The Matrix Mixer ships with a universal power supply.
