I like this device. It serves the purpose well. I was even able to grab it up with my camera and big glass attached to capture an unexpected northern flicker that landed in a nearby treetop yesterday. Nice ability!

There is no reason to spend more. This ground pod does everything that you would want as well or better than the alternatives. It is a very useful tool for photographers, but its functions are basic. You can buy this one and a cool case for it for the same price as others that do the exact same thing.
