Voigtlander Ultron 75mm f/1.9 (Multi Coated) Reviews
Excellent
Fantastic lens that has a “modern” rendering, meaning that it doesn’t show much of a character like other lenses, shows good contrast and sharpness even wide open, and no “glow.” Bokeh is beautiful, mostly round, not cat-eyes. No visible distortion. It is also small enough that it does not obstruct the viewfinder inside the 75mm lines on a Leica M. Even came with a (relatively small) round screw-in metal lens hood. I subtract one star because the focus is not butter smooth like Leica or other Voigtlander lenses. It’s a bit stiff and has a metallic feel. Aperture clicks are also barely noticeable because the aperture ring is — in my opinion — a little too loose.
Superb quality in a compact package
Great image quality wide open. I like how this has a 0.5 m close focus and is nice and compact. Definitely a good buy for a short telephoto.
