TerraMaster D8-332 Overview

Designed primarily for video editing, the D8-332 8-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID Enclosure from TerraMaster boosts your professional workflow with high capacity and versatility. Eight 3.5" / 2.5" drive bays are available, allowing you to install up to 160TB of storage in RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 configuration to balance between speed and data redundancy. The Thunderbolt 3 host connection supports up to 40 GB/s transfers.

Featuring read speeds of up to 1600 MB/s and a max write speed of 1380 MB/s using SSDs in RAID 0 mode, the D8-332 allows you to quickly ingest and edit massive files. There is also a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port that can transfer up to 10 GB/s with compatible devices. The Thunderbolt 3 daisy chaining port allows you to easily scale your storage with additional storage enclosures. You can also connect a compatible display to your computer through the enclosure's DisplayPort output. The slim tower design and carrying handles allows you to easily relocate the enclosure.

Rapid Video Workflows
Users can transfer several hours of footage from a Blackmagic device to Adobe Premiere Pro and edit uncompressed HD 10-bit and 12-bit video with ProRes 422 (HQ) and ProRes 4444 XQ codecs. The high-speed also makes thumbnail preview rendering for large files significantly more responsive.
High Scalability
Daisy chain up to six D8-332 devices, allowing you to achieve up to an 800TB capacity through a single Thunderbolt 3 connection.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 GB/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 GB/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Optimized Performance
The aluminum enclosure features three 80mm fans that help maintain steady temperatures and performance with demanding workflows.
