Finding a New inexpensive Blue Ray player is becoming as hard as finding a NEW manual portable Typewriter. (Wagner typewriter Chicago) Anyway I have purchased products through B & H a few times over the years and have always been very satisfied. I suggest... when available they offer open box product with warranty. Help saving a little cash. Think I will be looking for a radio that still has AM....Old school!!

I tried a half dozen Blu-Ray discs in this player, and it wouldn't play any of them; it says DISC ERROR for every one. It played regular DVDs fine, but I bought it with the intention of playing Blu-Ray discs, so it's essentially unusable.

The Panasonic DMP-BD84P-K Full HD Blu-ray Disc Player (B&H # PADMPBD84PK) does not require Panasonic batteries for the remote. Any alkaline or manganese AAA batteries can be used.

I wanted to run this directly on DC 12v power in my motor home without using the AC adapter. What usb cable can do this?

The Panasonic DMP-BD84P-K Full HD Blu-ray Disc Player (B&H # PADMPBD84PK) is designed to be used with the included AC power adapter. The USB port is designed for connecting a storage device, and would not be able to supply sufficient power to the player.
