Epson DC-30 Reviews

cant even save photos to your laptop

For $600 this document camera can only save photos to the thumb drive, and there have been corrupt files wasting hours of my time. You should be able to immediately see the picture saved on your hard drive and immediately edit or rename it, but you can't. You have to keep pulling the thumb drive from the camera and insert into your laptop, even though my laptop is connected to with the usb and /or hdmi cable. You have to use software to connect the camera to your laptop which I then stream to the large screen. There are program settings to save photos to jpeg, but you still cant use the software to save photos directly to your laptop even though you can chose a path / folder on your hard drive. The software is so out of date, obsolete and a waste of money when I can get a $15 desk camera to take photos and save to the laptop. Don't waste your money. Video and pictures are good quality. I can lighten the added light to illuminated objects the camera is focused at. Sure, it does project to my laptop and projector, but this is 2025 and more is expected. There was no bag with this camera. I ordered a $50 bag only to get a cheap Epson carry bag that offers no protection. There should have been some lightweight soft/ semi-hard padding. I don't think this is ready for deployment when other items that are cheaper will offer easier, better and more efficient functions.
