Simple, Reliable DMX Control That Just Works on Mac

I picked up the ENTTEC Open DMX USB Controller to run lighting through Lightkey on my Mac, and it’s been exactly what I needed. It does what it’s supposed to do. Setup was straightforward, it connects easily over USB, and Lightkey recognized it without any drama. Once configured, it’s been stable and responsive during live events and rehearsals. There’s nothing flashy about it — and that’s a good thing. It’s a simple, affordable way to get DMX control from your Mac without overcomplicating your setup. If you’re running Lightkey or similar software and just need a dependable USB-to-DMX interface, this gets the job done.

You've tried the cheap ones - now get one that works!

I tried the cheap ones and had too many Windows driver issues. This unit is plug and play and is still actively supported by the manufacturer. I use it with open source FreeStyler DMX Light Controller software. If you have a 3 pin DMX system, be sure to get the Kopul DMX53PA-S 5-Pin Male to 3-Pin Female DMX Adapter Cable (6) too.
