PolarPro Helix Reviews
Perfect Fit!

Perfect fit for my helix maglock filters. Currently holds 3 filters, with room for one more!
Faulty Locking Mechanism

The locking mechanism does not lock into place on any of the other filters, or the baseplates. This makes it impossible to ensure it's secure when attempting to adjust adjacent filters like the VND. Disappointing considering that this is marketed as better than screw-on or drop-in filters. If it functioned correctly I would give it 4 stars considering the lack of QC.

The PolarPro Helix Peter McKinnon Edition 4-Slot Filter Case is made to hold 4 Helix filters which are 101mm in diameter, and the 82mm filter will fit in the case too, but it might seem too large.

Can it can be used on Nikkor Z 400mm f4.5 & Nikkor Z 70-200mm f2.8 ?
To use the PolarPro Helix Variable Neutral Density Filter (6 to 9 Stops) on the Nikkor Z 70-200mm f2.8 you will need to purchase this PolarPro Helix 77mm adapter ring separately. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1767533-REG
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens has a 95mm filter thread and unfortunately the Helix adapter ring does not go to that size. Maximum they have is 82mm.

Is this an 82mm filter? Can I use this on my 77mm Canon 100-500mm with the lens hood attached? (with the 77mm adapter)
PolarPro Helix Variable Neutral Density Filter (2 to 5 Stops) is not a 82 mm filter. The Helix Variable Neutral Density Filter from PolarPro is designed for the Helix magnetic filter system and provides an exposure reduction of 2 to 5 stops. Variable ND filters are not designed to be used with the lens hood attached and the front element has a different size than the filter thread.
