With it's combination cold shoe and 1/4" threaded mount, you can attach it to a tripod or the top of your DSLR camera. The grip can accommodate 2.2 to 3.5" wide phones, and 360° rotation and 180° lockable tilt helps you get the perfect angle. Cold shoes on either end of the mount let you add optional accessories to enhance your images and videos, such as LED fill lights or a light and external microphone. Built-in anti-slip silicone pads ensure that your phone is protected and secure when mounted.

Used the product to attach a phone to a marching drum with the Super clamps worked great and supported the grip of the phone. This was cheaper than any music store product (that might exist)

it was super convenient, you can mount it on your camera and shoot backstage, or you can mount it on any tripod and shoot. I did both :) it has different mounting modes, best investment of $5 haha
