This lens makes my R50 feel like a point and shoot. It's lightweight. It's a joy to use.

Can quibble, but don't - this thing is priceless

One of my favorite lenes ever was a 35 Summicron, I think 2nd version. The one with six elements. Technically, not grreat: tons of falloff, not very sharp, not contrasty. But, it made some beautiful images and it was small - in pancake territory. Compared to that, this Canon 28 is a technical marvel, though it has some of the same weaknesses. But! It's cheap, smaller than small, and more than good enough to go wow. Even wide open - just not in the corners. But, who cares?? If you want a 28 don't hesitate. And keep your fingers out of the shot.
