compagnon Little Weekender Gen III Reviews
Great bag if big enough
This is a great bag. If you've looked at some of the more affordable bags, you've probably seen the compromises. The leather smells strongly, and not good. The leather is very stiff. The fasteners are either difficult or fragile. The bag wears out quickly. This isn't that bag. The minute you put your hands on the bag, you know it is different than brand X. The zippers are quality, and not going to fail in 6 months. The shoulder strap will hold up to use. The leather feels good and doesn't make the whole room smell like a tannery. This is a good size bag for a modern mirrorless/DSLR with 1 attached lens and probably 2-3 more depending on size, with the caveat that said mirrorless is not one with a built in battery grip. Things get tricky there. The Internal space struggles with the 5.5"x5.5" footprint of the Z9, and the height can come up short if I have a longer lens attached. With a smaller camera, it would be fine. Maybe if the attached lens is a smaller prime, and you didn't want to carry the laptop at the same time. In my case, I am switching to the Weekender for a little extra space. This one is not quite big enough. It is still a high quality bag.
Exceptional quality
The bag easily holds two Sony A1 ll cameras along with two Profoto A10 flashes. ..plenty of room for batteries and other accessories. The build quality and leather is top notch. Event and wedding photographers would likely benefit most
