I have three, they lock together and travel easily. Pick up three good light stands in one hand, no fumbly, legs falling out of place. Best thing for mobil studio I have purchased in awhile.

The Impact Interlocking Light Stand is one of those products that makes you wonder why others designs exist. The interlocking design is genuinely brilliant. When you’re packing up after a shoot, the stands lock together into a tight bundle instead of becoming a pile of awkward metal legs taking up space in your vehicle. It keeps everything organized, makes loading and unloading easier, and is a huge benefit for anyone who regularly works on location.
What really sold me, though, is the build quality. These stands are all metal, which immediately gives me confidence that they’re going to hold up for years. There aren’t a bunch of plastic parts that feel like they’re waiting to crack. Everything feels solid, well engineered, and built for real production work. In a world where so much gear seems designed to be replaced every few years, these feel like something you’ll still be using a decade from now.
They’re also plenty strong and stable for the lighting setups I use. Once they’re in place, they feel secure and dependable. That’s exactly what I want from a light stand. I don’t need flashy features. I need gear that works, packs efficiently, and survives being hauled from location to location.
The interlocking feature gets the attention, but the durability is what makes them stand out. Impact found a way to improve a piece of equipment that most of us take for granted, and they did it without compromising strength or reliability. These have become my favorite light stands, and if you’re a photographer or videographer who transports gear regularly, they’re an easy recommendation. Sometimes the simplest innovations make the biggest difference, and that’s exactly what Impact accomplished here.
