M2 Ultra
The M2 Ultra is built from two M2 Max dies connected through UltraFusion, which is Apple's custom-built packaging technology. UltraFusion uses a silicon interposer that connects the dies with more than 10,000 signals, providing over 2.5 TB/s of low latency interprocessor bandwidth. UltraFusion's architecture enables the M2 Ultra to appear as a single chip to software. This means code doesn't need to be rewritten to utilize the extreme performance of the M2 Ultra.

Apple Mac Studio M2 Ultra Reviews
Buy a Mac Studio instead of a Mac Pro

If you have the money to spend, do not purchase a Mac Pro for two reasons. 1) The best Mac Pro model is a 24-core CPU/60-core GPU unit. 2) The best Mac Studio M2 Ultra is a 24-core/76-core GPU and actually costs *2,500* less! Everyone in the graphics design field/video editing field is saying the Mac Studio is the computer to have. Apple doesn't have a real reason to make the Mac Pro anymore, in my opinion -- unless you want to use the Mac Pro's extra PCIe slots to add on a super nice graphics card. I am not an active gamer myself, however I feel the discrete graphics card which is built inside of Mac Studios are really just fine the way they are. Included is a screen capture of some processes running on mine. macOS and the underlying Darwin-based code is pretty nice.

We are a video production company that relies on the Mac Studio for exporting proxies, mastering, and rendering. Despite its compact size, this powerhouse consistently exceeds our expectations. Its performance, efficiency, and reliability have significantly enhanced our workflow, making it an indispensable tool in our production process. Highly recommended for professionals seeking top-tier performance (on a budget) in a small form factor.

Apple Silicon architecture has a 1:1 relationship between cores and threads, so the Apple Mac Studio Kit with AppleCare+ (M2 Ultra) will have one thread for each core in each category.

Is there a way to use the monitor of an imac with the Mac studio?
Asked by: Jorge
It is possible, with some adaptation, to use an iMac as a separate monitor, but it requires quite a bit of work, especially removing--and possibly destroying--the iMac's glass monitor cover. But it is possible. Reference this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VXQu0fAc8s
