Tenba V2 LT 18L Reviews
Find anything else
I really wanted to love this pack, I just can't. For the life of me I cannot imagine how this got good reviews anywhere. Maybe if you're carrying a point-and-shoot, but if you're carrying a DSLR or a mirrorless like an R5 or R6 along with another lens and flash, forget it. The side openings are dramatically too small to get your gear in and out without using a lot of force to get around the tiny openings and if you use a battery grip just forget it. It's seriously like Tenba designed this for a point-and-shoot and never bothered to test it with a real camera with real gear. As for build quality, it feels rugged, however I'm concerned that the zippers feel all too flimsy. They also use string as pulls which are just going to come off and get lost. Finally, to line up the TSA lock holes is an exercise in patience and frustration. Again, clearly none of this was tested. The hidden AirTag pocket isn't hidden at all and will be easily found and the AirTag discarded 3 seconds after someone steals your bag. Now, for the real deal breaker. The top flap/compartment. I'm not sure what they were thinking, but it might be the worst design of anything I've ever seen. The top flap is heavy duty, I assume to protect your gear from the elements, but it uses some rigged hook to hold it to one of the MOLLEs. This forces you to unhook it first then reach under the flap to get to the zippers to access the top compartment. It's pretty clear to me that no management at Tenba actually used one of the prototypes for any length of time before greenlighting production. Anyway, I'm returning this and I recommend you look elsewhere. This costs too much to force you to accept these compromises.
Good Capcity and Great Design
The Tenba Axis V2 LT Backpack (Black, 18L) offers a good amount of storage space for its compact size and the design is an improvement over V1.
