MSI RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X XS 8G Overview

Based on the Ampere architecture and designed to handle the graphical demands of Full HD 1080p gaming, the MSI GeForce RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X XS 8G OC Graphics Card brings the power of real-time ray tracing and AI to your PC games. The GPU features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 128-bit memory interface, offering improved performance and power efficiency over the previous Turing-based generation.

The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs, such as DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1 supports up to 48 Gb/s bandwidth and a range of higher resolutions and refresh rates, including 8K @ 60 fps, 4K @ 120 fps, and even up to 10K. The RTX 3050 is not just about high-resolution gaming. Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU's 2560 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA and other APIs.

For cooling, MSI implemented dual TORX 4.0 fans, which maximize downward airflow and air dispersion to the heat sink below them. This GPU also utilizes MSI ZeroFrozr technology to eliminate fan noise by stopping the fans in low-load situations.

NVIDIA Ampere Architecture
The NVIDIA Ampere architecture can deliver twice the FP32 throughput of the previous generation. Its 2nd Gen RT cores provide enhanced ray tracing and shading while its 3rd Gen Tensor Cores can run AI-powered technologies efficiently.
Real-Time Ray Tracing
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX platform enables real-time ray tracing of objects and environments with physically accurate shadows, reflections, refractions, and global illumination.
DLSS
NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is AI rendering that boosts frame rates while still providing optimal image quality using the dedicated AI processing Tensor Cores on the GeForce RTX platform. This gives you the performance you need to maximize ray tracing settings and resolutions for an immersive visual experience.
HDMI 2.1
The HDMI 2.1 interface provides increased bandwidth, allowing a single cable to output to 8K HDR TVs for ultra-high-resolution gaming.

Great for DxO

I purchased this GPU after discovering that my 14 year old computer could not handle the AI aspects of DxO Photolab 9. After buying and installing this card, the program runs amazing. Tasks that were previously not possible now run with lightning speed. I can now use the program to its fullest capacity. Great product at a reasonable price. I have always been a fan of DxO, now even more.

Card works great and has improved my system immensely

I noticed that my system was overheating and was getting CPU warnings but investigation showed that my video card that mounted directly below the CPU was greatly overheated, so much so that I could not even touch the back of the card until it cooled after being shut down for 15 minutes. I ordered this card as a direct replacement for my previous 8 gig video card and it now works so much better than it's predecessor and I can now place my hand on the back of this card while it's running and only feel a slight heat and the system warnings have come to an end since the installation of this video card.
