Flexfill Circular Reflector Reviews

Quicker than a softbox

I use this when I want the light source far from the diffusion to create a softer shadow. It's faster to set up than a softbox if you have the room. Great as a silk without the big frame to pack up. Love it.

Great look, wish frame was sturdier

I love the look and effect of this diffuser. The diffuser is very lightweight and I appreciate that it's made in the USA. I do wish that the frame of the reflector was a little sturdier, as it is a bit floppy which makes it harder to work with than some other reflectors. It is a large reflector, so perhaps it's just due to its size.

Just as you would expect

This is the largest size that fits in my computer/camera bag. Everything about this will remind you of the day you bought your first PhotoFlex spring steel reflector back in the late 1980s. It works and it fits!

Background and reflector

I like the black side as a quick backdrop and the silver for fill. I would prefer the silver to be more reflective - that would be 5 stars.

Works fine

I've used the Photoflex reflectors for years and now that they've gone out of business, I tried this brand. Works the same, but the silver is more matte than mirror for my taste. The white is, well, white.

Better than cheaper versions

Previously, I'd bought a cheaper version of a Flexfill. Definately a mistake: the cheaper one lasted only a couple of years and the silver began flaking off. I own several other Flexfill products and should have known better than to buy a cheaper brand. My recommendation: buy Flexfill. I've been using their products for decades, they make great stuff, and they work (and last!) I just wish they weren't quite this expensive.

Works great and packs up perfectly. What else do you need on the go?

Is this a type of light absorber? Thank you in advance. Respectfully, Joseph from the U.S.A. in the P.I.

This disc is meant to reduce the output of a given light source, when placed in front. That could be either a studio light source or when shooting outdoors in sunlight. It will reduce the light output by 2 full stops.
