KanexPro SW-4X18K Reviews

Like it so far... but has a few quirks

Just installed my new KanexPro 8K HDMI 4x1 Switcher (replacing an aging rockfish switcher whose remote quit working) and, so far, seems to be working mostly as advertised First impressions - A few notes: 1. It's always ON - the only way to turn it off is by unplugging the power cable... not much of an EnergyStar 2. While the device's auto switch feature dutifully detected and switched to a device newly brought online (Blu-Ray Player), when I turned the Blu-Ray Player off and activated AppleTV (using the AppleTV remote), the Blu-Ray Player remained the currently selected channel on the KanexPro. Of course, it was easy enough to switch to the AppleTV using the KanexPro remote... just sayin' 3. I found it rather awkward having the output connection on the side of the KanexPro, rather than in the back with the inputs, inasmuch as it necessarily required more horizontal space to accommodate the HDMI cable entering the unit on the side. Presently, I have the unit standing on edge (output cable on top) which fits better into the limited space available in my entertainment center

Yes, the KanexPro 8K HDMI 4x1 Switcher does support pretty much all of the features you requested. I have posted the specifications of the product below: 8K@60Hz 4:4:4 8/10/12bit, 8K@60Hz 4:2:0 12-bit, 8K@30Hz 4:4:4 10-bit, 4K@120Hz 4:4:4 10-bit video support: The device supports various video formats and resolutions, including 8K content at different frame rates and color depths, as well as 4K content at high refresh rates and color precision. Support HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG pass-through: The device is capable of passing through High Dynamic Range (HDR) signals, including popular HDR formats such as HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), allowing for enhanced color and contrast reproduction on compatible displays. VRR, FVA, ALLM support: The device supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Fast Frame Transport (FVA), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). VRR enables smoother gameplay by synchronizing the display's refresh rate with the source device, FVA reduces latency, and ALLM automatically activates game mode on compatible devices.
