Can I connect the ME90 to a power bank?

Can I connect the ME90 to a power bank?
Asked by: Luis
The USB port on the BOSS ME-90 Guitar Multiple Effects Pedal is for data only; it cannot be used for powering. The ME-90 requires 9V DC, and it draws 190mA, but most USB power banks provide only 5V DC. It is possible to use a power bank in conjunction with a 5V to 9V step-up cable, provided that the cable has the same type of DC barrel plug (with center negative polarity) as the DC power port on the ME-90. Please do keep in mind that the manufacturer recommends using only BOSS PSA series power adapters, such as the BOSS PSA-120S AC Adapter for BOSS Pedals (BH # BOPSA120S2), as using an incompatible power adapter may cause a malfunction or permanent damage to the ME-90. Additionally, the ME-90 can be powered using four AA batteries, which will provide an expected battery life of approximately 6.5 hours under continuous use.
