The powerful class-AB analog power amp has enough juice for even the largest gigs, and sports extra features like a dedicated power amp input (for preamps, modelers, and multi-FX boxes) and a Power Control knob that lets you kick wattage down from 100 to 50W or 0.5W, so you can get perfect breakup, even at low volume levels. Along with dedicated I/O for use with the KATANA-Artist MkII's cabinet resonance, adjustable Air Feel, and mic'd cabinet emulation, you get three speaker outputs (two 16-ohm and one 8-ohm), connections for stereo speaker links, foot control, headphones, a series FX loop, MIDI in, and a USB port for direct stereo recording or use with BOSS Tone Studio, letting you adjust every setting directly on your computer.
Blend clean and dirty tones, create wet/dry setups, and more. Stereo Expand lets you use one Katana-Artist MkII as the primary amp, with stereo effects like chorus, delay, and reverb distributed across both amps for a wide, immersive sound field.
Eight Tone Settings (two banks of four) are available, with fast selection from the panel. And for hands-free operation on the gig, just connect external footswitches or the GA-FC/GA-FC EX foot controller.
With six footswitches, you can directly recall Tone Settings and independently turn the five effects sections on/off. They also support external footswitches and expression pedals, with customization via BOSS Tone Studio. The GA-FC offers standard control, while the expanded GA-FC EX provides the ability to control two amps together, connect another unit for additional foot control, and more.
