Negative Supply 35FBSC Reviews
Does what it says
It was easy enough to install (remove 2 screws and slide in) and it works just like the regular cassette. It's cool to show the sprocket holes when I want that look! I guess it could work well if I ever sort my film by film type or something since I can see the rebate information.
I really want to like to like this, butâ¦
â¦there really isnât enough support for the film when scanning. If your negatives are not perfectly flat then this wonât help get them flat. I found it much harder to work with than the standard 35mm cassette, esp. feeding negs in past the first frame. They keep getting caught and not going back up the ramp towards the exit. I swapped back to the std cassette and SO MUCH EASIER to work with. Film is held flatter and almost no need to tweak focus between frames, or even new strips! No more loading issues. So miss the awesome look of the full border - it also shows you the frame number and film stock right on the scan, really helpful. But ultimately too annoying to work with. Now rescanning a bunch of rolls with the std cassette â¹ï¸ Just wish there was something in between. If this had even 1-1.5mm of support on either side of the neg (even if it cut off a little of the âfullâ border) it would be perfect. I have been wondering if I can take a Dremel to my std cassette to cut it out a bitâ¦
