PreSonus 3.5 Reviews

Great pair of Speakers

My last purchase to satisfy my work station needs(at least for now) were a set of speakers because I was doing some audio work and really needed a better understanding of my sound than headphones. These are a great set of speakers. Packaged to wish and a tornado, great sound and at a price that I could live with. Thanks to my guy at B&H for picking them out for me

Brand did not last a year

I use these for my little studio and for podcasting. They are quite balanced and offer a good sounds. However, my chief complete is that the volume knob has a short somewhere. These of course are stationary, and this problem began within a year of purchasing them (I should have contacted PreSonus about the warranty). Due to the problem, this channel speaker comes and goes, and you have to find the sweet spot to make certain it works. I tried to open them and see if I could spot a short, but could not. I debated on these speakers versus Mackie but since I had purchased the PreSonus broadcast mic (was on a budget and could not get a Shure at the time) I opted to get these. Now I am getting ready to trade this brand for Mackie. Granted, these were a cheap budget studio speak, but I would have expected over a year of use with no issues, but this was not the case. I most likely will not purchase PreSonus products moving forward.
