Brilliant design in terms of looks and function! You just need to know this: to remove the cap from the camera body, you need to take the same action as if you were removing a lens from a camera body. In the case of Sony, you need to push the button next to the mount that will release the cap, just as it would release a lens. Usually we do NOT have to push a button to remove a lens cap, and so I did not realize this when I first used the product and I thought it was stuck! Product has my highest recommendation.

Fits beautifully

This body cap is one of the best. It's light weight and is not distracting. Does a great job protecting the sensor on my Sony E mount cameras.

This looks like a 3d printed part, is it? The reason I ask is I want a nicer injection molded part for this use, if possible.

Unsure of the manufacturing process, but it does seem and feel as if it was 3D printed.
